What you’ll do: Reporting to the Crop Input Manager, the Agronomist provides expert advice and strategic agricultural insights to support local producers and enhance the overall growth, sales, and profitability of the site. The Agronomist is knowledgeable in crop inputs, fertilizer, and farm equipment, and focuses on technical support and customer education.

• Understand local producers' needs and offer company products and services to optimize agricultural output.
• Manage and track inventory and bookings, and handle claims and invoices.
• Promote high levels of customer satisfaction and develop relationships through trust, service, and integrity.
• Provide on-site farm support and delivery of Co-op products.
• Conduct field scouting, plot tours, and provide the latest information on seed, weed, disease, and insect control.
• Investigate potential agricultural challenges and offer effective solutions.
• Be proactively involved in the business decision-making process of key customers.
• Provide learning opportunities and value-added tools and resources to customers.
• Stay updated on current and future agricultural trends.
• Create and implement strategies for growth opportunities and market development.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• Have a degree or diploma in Agriculture or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the agriculture industry is considered an asset.
• You hold a valid drivers licence.
• Have your Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) of PAg designation or are willing to pursue the designation. Assistance will be provided to pursue the designation.
• You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do
